PRODUCTION STILLS:

SYNOPSIS: It's just another day awash for OCD Laundromat owner Frank Galleano when a mysterious woman walks through his front door.  In this offbeat noir romance, falling in love is a dirty business.

PRODUCTION DESIGN CONCEPT: We shot on location in Queens at a local Laundromat. Most of the Laundromat work revolved around creating a hyper-reality for this noir picture. The stainless steel had to sparkle and the detergent bottles had to be lined up with precision and order. Character drove the look of this short. Because the laudromat owner is OCD (and the protagonist of the film) it was important to look at the space in terms of his character and behavior. Because this short takes place in one room, it was imperative to have a specific discussion of shots and angles before I began to design so that we weren’t repeating looks or boring the audience.
