SYNOPSIS: Maggie discovers that her teenage sister is pursuing a risky tryst through an internet chat. Maggie trails her into the woods where an attempt to protect her older sister leads to an unusual and poignant bond between them.

PRODUCTION DESIGN CONCEPT: There were two set pieces: the girls’ bedroom and the abandoned house where the tryst takes place. In both locations we attempted to convey the convergence of adulthood and childhood – that awkward moment of adolescence. To achieve this visually I decorated the spaces with a combination of objects that are icons of both ‘growing up’ (a brassiere) and infancy (a stuffed animal, a baby doll). As the movie progressed we worked to make the spaces progressively empty and raw, mimicking the emotional state of the protagonist and her sister.
